Lemon Turmeric KojicAcid Soap

I like to use soap bars to wash my face and I've been using different versions of the Dove brand, which work fine. I decided to try this to see if I would like it compared to Dove. It is a very soft soap. Like Dove, it doesn't foam very much, which I don't like, but that just means there are less drying agents in it so I should be happy. There's just something psychological about foam though. I love foam. Anyway, it doesn't dry out my face, which is the point, and that's great. Are lemon, turmeric, and kojic acid beneficial for my skin? Time will tell I guess. The only thing I don't like are the little seed things in it. Whole turmeric? Not sure. I suppose they are there to give it authenticity, but there's no benefit or purpose, and there's not enough of them to serve as an exfoliant; they're just kind of annoying when they get embedded in my washcloth. All in all though, it's comparable to my usual Dove brand, so I'm happy with it.

I'm rating these higher than others — with the assumption the ingredients list is correct, and I think it probably is if only from the smell of the bars — because:1) the small size and softness is irrelevant to value because one bar has lasted me months — just keep it dry between uses2) these are good, effective ingredients and you don't need a thick lather for them to work if you leave them on your skin for a minute or so3) The price for the longevity is excellentI also use all of these ingredients in serum form, as they're proven effective at lightening and brightening. Since soap is only on skin for a few seconds, it will only help reinforce other efforts and won't likely be a solution unto itself. But as far as value, I think these are a solid buy for the price.

This 2-pack of Lemon Turmeric soap is very nice. First off, it has a pleasant citrus scent to it. Next, the lather I would consider to be medium. The ingredients list for this soap is pretty impressive, with very nice ingredients that are known for being great for the skin. But despite all that, to me, it comes down to how this soap makes my skin feel after cleansing. I was pleased to find that not only did my skin feel nice and clean, but it also did not feel tight and dry. If a soap makes my skin feel tight or dry, then it doesn't matter what the ingredients are; I won't use it. This soap, however, is chalked full of great ingredients, smells great, and left my skin feeling clean without feeling dry. Great product.
